Star Citizen is falling apart and CIG pretend like this isn’t how the game always is. This is literally how it always is. They claim that this is how “alpha” development works, as if every basic mechanic and game interaction is supposed to be utterly broken in an alpha. But the thing is that
this isn’t an alpha, it’s a live product
that’s been released for many years. Despite the promises, the game remains in a state of disrepair, and yet people fail to see the reality.
The truth is clear: Star Citizen is a game consistently plagued by issues, kept alive by hopeful players and ongoing assurances. Players are drawn in by the grand vision, but are left facing a reality where nothing works as expected. The community is stuck in a cycle of broken promises and unmet expectations.
It’s surprising that so many fail to recognize the situation: this is not what an “alpha” should look like. Only those protected by European Consumer Protection Laws seem to fully understand the severity of the situation. They alone see through the claims, recognizing the issues for what they are.
CIG continues to engage its dedicated players, offering glimpses of a promised future that never arrives. Meanwhile, the game remains a complicated mess, far from the impressive vision it once set out to achieve. It’s time for the wider gaming community to acknowledge the reality that Star Citizen has not lived up to its promises.
